The Bible
is not mythology. It does not depend on personal opinions. It stands on its own.
39 different writers from different time eras and
generations, 15 hundred years apart, from different continents, languages, educational
backgrounds, occupations , all wrote about who God is and how He acts, in a
uniformed manner, with over 40 Old Testament prophecies fulfilled in Christ in the New Testament.
Mere Chance? Impossible! Those many prophecies by different writers, of different generations predicted on the Messiah's life and mission converged upon the same person: Christ Jesus!
Let us consider a few phophecies:
It was predicted by the poet in Psalm 22:
18 that Jesus clothes would be gambled for (1400 B.C.)
"They divide my garments among themselves and throw dice for my clothing."
- Jesus’ birthplace was given by Micah ( lived between 750-686 BC-750 B.C.) referring that His origin was from long, long ago.
- By 700 BC, Isaiah prophesied,
" Therefore, the Lord will give you a sign. The young virgin woman is pregnant and is about to give birth to a son, and she will name him Immanuel.*" ( *God with Us)." Isaiah 7:14
Isaiah pointed out the Messiah would come "To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house." Isaiah 42:7
and in Isaiah 53: verses 5 to 11 we read "The fact is, it was our suffering he took on himself; he bore our pain. But we thought that God was punishing him, that God was beating him for something he did. But he was being punished for what we did. He was crushed because of our guilt. He took the punishment we deserved, and this brought us peace. We were healed because of his pain. We had all wandered away like sheep. We had gone our own way. And yet the Lord put all our guilt on him. He was treated badly, but he never protested. He said nothing, like a lamb being led away to be killed... He never opened his mouth to defend himself. He was taken away by force and judged unfairly... But he was put to death for the sins of his people. He had done no wrong to anyone. He had never even told a lie. ...The Lord says, “My servant, who always does what is right, will make his people right with me; he will take away their sins." Isaiah 53: 5~11
- Jeremiah (lived sometime between 626-586 BC) told that the Messiah would be a descendant of King David.
- Zechariah ( somewhat 500 B.C.) announced that the Messiah would enter Jerusalem riding a donkey and be betrayed for 30 pieces of silver,
He is the good king who won the victory, but he is humble.
He is riding on a donkey, on a young donkey born from a work animal." Zechariah 9:9
" So they paid me 30 pieces of silver. Then the Lord told me, “So that’s how much they think I’m worth. Throw that large amount of money into the Temple treasury" Zechariah 11: 12,13For more prophecies and their fulfilment:
With these and other phophecies we almost get a graphic picture of Christ´s life and purpose, painted
by different men who were led by the Spirit of God.

WE ARE ALL TRANSGRESSORS OF GOD'S HOLY LAW.
WE ARE ALL SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD.
WE ARE ENEMIES OF GOD.
We live by our own standards and ignore God's standards.
Christ was not just a man.
He was the Perfect God-Man, sinless, holy, that WAS ABLE TO fully KEEP GOD'S LAW in His heart, spirit, and body.
He came to this world as IMMANUEL, GOD WITH US, because HE volunteered to be everybody's Scapegoat.
He took the punishment of condemnation for our sinful, rebellious, disobedient nature. He took the punishment meant for us.
GOD IS HOLY. This means GOD ABHORRS SIN, He condems unrepented sinners.
GOD'S WRATH AGAINST SIN was PLACED ON HIS SON, so that ALL THOSE THAT REPENT, TRUST THEIR LIFE TO CHRIST AND TURN AWAY FROM WICKEDNESS, may LIVE ETERNALLY.
The Supreme Judge PREPARED A WAY TO RESCUE MEN, by accepting upon Himself the penalty deseved for men's rebellion.

Christ is our Substitute and the One that rescues from eternal death, all those that submit to Him.
Separation from God in HELL, a place of never ending tribulation IS THE WAGES OF THOSE THAT REJECT SALVATION IN CHRIST.
Those have chosen to meet Christ after death as THE SUPREME JUDGE OF EVERY TRANSGRESSOR.

Quem crê no Filho tem a vida eterna; aquele que não crê no Filho não verá a vida, mas a ira de Deus permanece sobre ele.” João 3:36
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on them. John 3:36
